So my Kubo is totally an androgynous boy
I mean growing up with just your mom and your best friend being female has its effects, Kubo feels pretty feminine or androgynous to me in terms of his personality canonically anyway, he's quiet, naive, unprepared, bubbly, he doesn't try to act tough unless he's really, really hurt.
